As his Albert Schweitzer Fellowship year comes close to an end, Charles Daniels and his Father's Uplift group will be hosting a day-long summit at The Dimock Center. Mr. Daniels' work with men in the Dimock community has been helping to raise the participants' self-confidence through workshops and social events at Dimock, and we are now ready to spread his work to the greater Boston community. A full-day fatherhood seminar will be held on April 21, 2012, at The Dimock Center.
The goal of the summit is to provide men and professionals with the tools and encouragement they need to manage the many stressors related to fatherhood, poverty and lack of resources through the provision of shared resources and supportive workshops geared towards male betterment.
Operation Male Impact seeks to empower our participants by engaging them in the planning and facilitation of this summit. The event will feature guest speakers from Boston Public Health Commission, Simmons College and Blessed Harvest Coaching (BHC),
The day will conclude with a Men's Health, Education and Employment Resource Fair. Community agencies will be present to give information on careers, health and community activities
