Adult Basic Education & GED Services

Adult Basic Education and GED services has helped more than 4,000 graduates obtain the skills they need to be competitive in today’s job market. For more than 30 years, Dimock has operated education and training programs to improve the quality of life of its students and their families. All programs are free to qualified applicants.

GED and Adult Basic Education Programs are offered throughout the year on The Dimock Center’s main campus. GED programs are designed to prepare students for all areas of the GED exam. Adult Basic Education programs are planned to help students improve basic reading, writing and math skills.

GED and Adult Basic Education Programs are held from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. We assess all students, develop an Individualized Education Plan and provide progress reports on an on-going basis. As part of the preparation for the GED Tests, the Dimock GED program helps students develop skills in communication, information processing, critical thinking and problem solving. There is also special emphasis in the material on preparation for entering the workplace or entering higher education.

To be eligible, applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
