Behavioral Health Services is located on The Dimock Center’s main campus in Roxbury, MA, and provides comprehensive health and human services for individuals with substance abuse and/or mental illness and developmental disabilities. Behavioral Health Services offers over fourteen programs, which include Outreach, Adult Inpatient Detox and extensive Outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults in addiction and mental health services. Dimock’s Behavioral Health Services (BHS) has several residential programs that include the John Flowers Recovery Home for men, Transitional and Permanent Housing for individuals with HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse, as well as six Group Homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. BHS serves over 12,000 individuals annually and has a staff of over 175 Physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Licensed Social Workers, Counselors, Case Managers, Residential and Administrative staff who are committed to making a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve every day. BHS linguistic capabilities include Spanish and Creole.

Residential Programs
Acute Treatment Services (ATS)
The ATS is a 30-bed medically monitored detoxification unit for alcohol and opiate treatment and is located at 41 Dimock Street on The Dimock Center’s main campus. The ATS’ Medical Director, Nurse Manager, Clinical Coordinator, Nursing staff, Medical Aides, and Case Managers form a comprehensive medical/clinical team that works in close partnership with program Support Staff to provide the program services. Dimock ATS has served the community for over thirty-five years and admits over 2,700 clients annually.
Dimock ATS provides medical detoxification under the supervision of our medical director and an experienced nursing staff, and refers clients on to a less intensive level of care for further treatment.
Program protocols include Serax, Librium and Methadone detoxification. The average length of stay is 3-5 days for Alcohol and 5-7 days for Opiates. The ATS is licensed by the Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services.

Transitions of Boston
Transitions of Boston Clubhouse is located at 51 Neponsett Avenue in Dorchester. A Masters Level Clinician works closely with the Educational/Vocational Counselors and Support staff to provide services that promote job training and work force development. TOB received a three-year certification by the International Center for ClubHouse Development.
TOB provides Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services for the mentally ill who have recently come back into the work force after lengthy mental illness. Department of Mental Health contracts provide service for 150 individuals.
